One app a day… 7 days a week. The “App Spotlight” features one iPhone/iPod touch application a day that has been selected because we think that it rocks or because a reader of edu.Mac.nation (You!) thinks that it rocks. The picks stretch across many different categories. Here are the last 7 apps spotlighted on edu.Mac.nation App Spotlight:

Easy to use and beautiful design. Each mini-application is fun, engaging, and the age-based settings are genius! I am a big fan of applications that allow for increased customization and KidCalc goes above and beyond. If you are a parent or a teacher of children between the ages 1 and 10 I believe this is a must-have educational application. Every time I use it with my son I find something new!
Convert
“Having a dinner party and need to triple a recipe? Let’s say your recipe calls for 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons of sugar. Using Convert, you can quickly find out that tripling it is a half cup and save yourself a lot of scooping!”
via Taptaptap
Pastebot
“Pastebot is a powerful clipboard manager that stores text & images copied from your iPhone/iPod Touch. Organize, apply filters to, and copy clippings to be pasted or sent to other apps.”
via Tapbots
This is an excellent application for storing and organizing clippings that you collect around the web. The desktop Pastebot Sync application makes this application even better.
Preschool Connect the Dots
“Children can “tap” or “draw” to connect sequential numbers (123), upper case letters (ABC), and lower case letters (abc). Joining all the dots forms the outline of the shape and reveals the beautifully illustrated image, a really fun sound effect, and the object name spoken by a speech therapist that specializes in early childhood development!”
Lots and lots of puzzles!
