Recently I attended a Web Developer User Group meeting where we had a speaker from Apple share with us Podcast Producer and some of the new features of iLife ’09. Toward the end of the session we were shown a short promotional video from Apple. I thought the video was thought provoking and I knew that it would be something I would want to share later. After the meeting was over I searched for the video but could not find it. Thanks to @webgalpat I now know where it is!
She shared with me a link to the Apple Leadership Summit 2009 page which has the video posted at the very top.
Below is a link to the video file and the text from the video slides…

“Think back
to what it was that got
your institution to where it is
today.Think back
to what it was that
attracted you to the field you’re in.
To the position you now hold.
To the institution you help lead.Think back to the last time you dreamed big
(even if it was just a few minutes ago).Think about any of that, and
“inertia” is not a word that
comes to mind.Nor is “mediocrity”
To the contrary,
the one thing that binds together
the greatest achievements of your school’s past
with your loftiest goals for its future…
is Change.More than ever before, education’s willingness to
reinvent itself, to embrace new ideas, seek new possibilities,
and recognize new opportunities is what will ultimately
define its success and reputation. Not all education leaders recognize that.
But for those who do Apple stands ready to
help spark the changes that inspire you.We will do it by making the most amazing things possible.
And by making the experience of doing them
Simple.So go head,
think about the institution
you want to be leading
A year from now -
and ten years after that -Think big.
Think bold.
Think ahead.”

So what do you think?
In what ways does having Apple hardware and software provide you with the “spark” to change or reach for your dreams?
[UPDATE] 6/17- edu.Mac.nation reader Jon wrote to me to let me know that the video link no longer works. This is indeed true. The video must have been taken down. If anyone happens to have a link to the video please post in the comments. Thank you!
