Below is my review of PopGeo USA Geography. I created this review for the I Educational Apps Review community…

Here is some additional information about PopGeo from the developer and Scott Meech at IEAR.org
PopGeo USA Geography for iPhone and iPod touch
“PopGeo is a fun way to learn where the US states, state capitals, national parks and major cities are located.
Your goal is to travel as far as possible by dragging the targets onto their correct destinations, which are marked with a pin on the map.
Watch the mile counter go up each time you succeed (miles add up from Washington, DC).
The game includes:
- States and state capitals, statehood dates, nicknames, abbreviations, and the beautiful seal for each state
- National parks, including the date of establishment and a beautiful mini-picture illustrating each of them
- Major cities that you should know about (including those that are not state capitals)
Funny sound effects and subtle use of animation makes the adventure entertaining — like pins dropping from the sky at the beginning, and labels ‘popping’ up.”

I Education Apps Review – I Education Apps Review – Pop Geo – EduMacNation Review #2
“Program Functionality: A
Purpose: A
Overall Educational Value: A / The application works best for reinforcing geographical knowledge, but this will also be very helpful for those just with limited geographical spatial memorization.
Cost: $.99
Recommendation: We recommend this app for personal use and school use at this time. We are very interested in what future updates will bring and any companion apps that will follow.
