Simon Elliott’s (@simon_elliott ) “The FreeMac Classroom” (www.thefreemac.com) is an excellent source for finding free Mac software. I came across the site about a year ago through a suggestion by a friend. Since then the site has improved with each new addition.
Who put together “The FreeMac Classroom”?
According to the “About Us” page Simon is an Apple Distinguished Educator who has been teaching since 1992. I am personally grateful for the time and effort that Simon has put into making thefreemac.com easy to navigate and full of excellent software. I specifically suggest that teachers check out the collection of “education” applications that he lists on his site.
Below is a list of just some of my favorite applications that I found through The FreeMac Classroom!

Thank you Simon!
