[iMovie '09] Green Screen Tutorial from iClarified.com

Found a great step by step tutorial from iClarified.com on how to use a green screen in the new iMovie ’09. I have only posted the first few steps below. You can click through to check out the rest on their site!

iClarified – Mac OS X – How to Green Screen Using iMovie 09.

Step One
For this tutorial you will need two video clips; one that has been recorded with a green screen background and one that is the background you would like to change to.

Launch iMovie ’09 by clicking its icon in the dock or in the Applications folder.

Step Two
Click New Project… from the File Menu

Step Three
Give the Project a name then click the Create button.

  1. Yes! I'm definitely going to try this. And ideas on how to set up a green screen? I fear that could be pricey. There is potential for endless hilarity in using a green screen. I assume set up and lighting could be a little tricky though. Nevertheless, I have to try this. Thanks for posting Mike!

  2. I know my Dad uses a large, plain, unwrinkled green cotton sheet. You
    could probably pin it against a wall with plenty of light overhead. I
    would think direct light would cause shadows to appear. Now that I
    found this I bet my Dad will want to try it out!
