What do you use for backing up your data?
Feel free to select more than one choice in the poll!
[poll id="2"]
Currently I use Time Machine as a “versioning” system, CarbonCopyCloner as an “image” tool, and a mix between iDisk/SmugMug/and personal server space for “Offsite Storage”.
Related to this is Josh Schnell’s “Paranoid OS X Users Backup Guide“. His posting provides excellent information regarding ”versioning”, “image”, and “offsite” backups as well as a checklist for preparing for the job of wiping your drive for a fresh install. (Thanks to @WebGalPat for the tip!)
You can click on the images below for more information on the three specific backup tools mentioned in the poll.
If you don’t see the application you use please share in the comments.
Also, I would love to hear about some of the edu.Mac.nation readers’ backup techniques and workflows!

/ February 24, 2009I just saw a commercial the other day for Mozy! How much space do they give
you for the Mozy Home Free?
I am thinking about purchasing SuperDuper because I have heard great things
about it. I plan on rotating a cloned drive offsite as well. The one thing I
have not done though is boot from the drive before. I probably should give
it a practice run.
Thanks for sharing!

/ February 24, 2009We love mozy as well, it completely slipped my mind when I wrote that backup article. It's super handy and I'd recommend it to everyone.
